On Tuesday, were all invited to the VIP Launch night of the Lightopia Festival at Chiswick House and Gardens. It fell on Islas 9th birthday, so it was an incredible birthday present!

Outside the Lightopia entrance

Lightopia is a brand new immersive and visually-dramatic lantern and light festival, that promises to fuse beautiful art installations with human experience and it is the first of its kind in the UK and Europe.

The light tunnel

There are six key interactive installations, all United with their theme of “Hope, Home and Harmony”. The installations throughout include, •The Love Gate

•Tree of Life

•Elysian Field

•Flower Hand

•The Flower Road

•Happy Valley, symbolising various experiences throughout life and humanity.

The Rose Garden

Each installation is universally communicable, all united with the theme of harmony. As you travel through the festival, you’re fully immersed into the Lightopia narrative, exploring nature and human experiences through each design.

It took us around 45 minutes to complete the trail, but we did speed up as it was absolutely freezing! If you wanted to spend more time browsing and taking (amazing) photos, it would take over an hour.

It opened to the public on 22nd January, and runs every evening Wednesday – Sunday until 1st March 2020. Tickets, bought in advance, are £20 adults and £13 children. Under 3 is free.

I would recommend this attraction to all ages as it is completely buggy friendly and the entry process is quick and smooth.

Lightopia Festival London is offering a promo code for February Half Term. Use code KIDSFREE for free child entry. Buy tickets here
